AbstractTDOT records capital projects in a database. The mapguide platform is used to draw the linear dimensions of the projects. Each night the mapguide sdf is linked to the capital projects database and a shapefile is created.
Known errors/qualificationsData goes back to approx 1997. As of 12/11/02 not all completed projects had been entered.

Maintenance descriptionContract Admin staff revises cip database as required for project tracking. When new projects are added they add the line feature to mapguide. Each night a batch process combines the database with the digitized spatial data file and creates a shapefile.
