Abstract		HGBASIN1 displays the areas of alluvium and bedrock within the subbasins of Pima County. A complimentary dataset (HGBASIN2.shp) aggregates these features based on the SUB_BASIN field.
Known errors/qualifications		This dataset is an amalgamation of a number of datasets. SUBBASIN (\\pygmyowl\pygmyowl3\sdcp\covers) was used as the base layer for eastern Pima County. The SWA_HGAHGN.shp was overlaid to define hydrologic basin boundaries across the entire county. The hydrogeologic subbasin boundaries of eastern Pima County vary from hydrologic subbasin boundaries in places where information from field studies and the literature detailing subsurficial geologic phenomena are available. This research was conducted by Julia Fonseca at PCFCD. Bedrock areas in western Pima County (those areas west of the SUBBASIN coverage) were derived from the AZGEOLOGY_SP83_PIMA.shp.
