Abstract		m_ptbat displays the habitat model developed for the Pale Townsend's big-eared bat (Plecotus townsendii pallescens) by Recon. It was based on known habitat requirements for this species. Higher values indicate higher value habitat. This m_ptbat2 layer derived from the m_ptbat layer and is intended just for MapGuide's use. m_ptbat2 is the same as m_ptbat except that one exceptionally complex polygon has been "diced" into 15 smaller (but still complex) polygons. This was needed because the MapGuide SDF loader halts processing with an error attempting to process that one exceptionally complex polygon in the original m_ptbat layer.
Known errors/qualifications		m_ptbat habitat model was developed from the best available data and may not completely reflect species habitat preferences. The dicing of the one exceptionally complex polygon added orthogonal geometry as needed at the extents of the diced areas. This does not affect the layer's usability for its intended purpose in MapGuide.
