File name | mscpgrth | |
Spatial domain | Eastern Pima County
Abstract | MSCPGRTH shows projected residential development in decadal increments and by urban form type through the year 2040 (the length of the MSCP permit). It follows the methods developed for the City-County Water Study white paper on urban form and cost of infrastructure. If differs from the white paper's growth model only in the population projections used. MSCPGRTH uses Arizona Department of Economic Security population projections; the white paper addressed a build-out population of 2 million people. See MSCP appendix for more information. See more information.
Known errors/qualifications | MSCPGRTH projects an urban footprint on a regional scale and relies on a series of compounding assumptions. It should not be used to assess the fate of individual parcels.
