Abstract		Township & Range is the basis of the Public Land Survey System with 36 square miles per township. These are maintained in the Parcel Fabric. See more information.
Known errors/qualifications		The Canoa Land Grant area is not part of the Public Land Survey System. The tr layer townships cover the Canoa Land Grant area as if it had been included in the survey. 2021 - This layer contains a Stated Area field in square miles. This is a GIS calculated estimate and should not be used in place of official stated areas from the original documents.

Lineage		2011-01-18: Township boundaries have been adjusted to match the updated Section boundaries in the layer TRS. The half-Township, T12.5S R14E, has been reintroduced. 2021: Township boundaries were converted from AutoCAD .dwg to feature class, and maintained in the Parcel Fabric.
