Parcel Section Map Download

Overview

Parcel section maps are available for download over the web in AutoCAD DWG format. Parcel section maps can only be downloaded one at a time. There is no bulk-download facility, nor are they available using FTP.

Before downloading Parcel section maps, read the Disclaimer which applies to use of the Parcel section maps. See the Parcel Map Description for an overview, map legend and an explanation.

Each map covers one Public Land Survey System (PLSS) section. The Surveying System in Pima County is an explanation of how townships and sections are numbered.

Parcel section maps in DWG format can be located and downloaded by drilling down through the file directory structure. While most users will need to drill into the file dirctory structure, if you already have Autodesk Volo View or Autodesk WHIP! which are no longer available, you can use the Parcel Map viewing system as a spatial index to drill down to the section of interest.

Downloading by drilling down through the file directory structure

• Drill down through the file directory structure to the desired DWG file.
• Right-click on the file name and select "Save Target As..." (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As..." (Netscape).
• Navigate to the desired location in the Save As dialog and adjust hte "File name:" if desired.
• Click the "Save" button.

Downloading using the Parcel Map viewing system as a spatial index

The Parcel Map viewing system can be used as the map index if you happen to have Autodesk VoloView Express or Autodesk WHIP! which are no longer available. If you have one of these programs and are using VoloView Express or WHIP! as your browser plug-in for viewing the maps DWF format, you can download maps in DWG format from the plug-in. (Other AutoCAD DWF viewers do not support this capability.)

• Drill down to the desired DWF format section map at Parcel Section Maps using Autodesk Volo View or Autodesk WHIP!. (You can also get to a section map using the Parcel Search or by choosing township, range and section numbers.)
• Right-click in the map and select "Save As..." to bring up the Save As dialog box.
• Select "AutoCAD Drawing (*.DWG)" in the "Save as type:" drop-down list.
• Navigate to the desired "Save in" location and adjust the "File name:" if desired.
• Click the "Save" button.
