Finding and Viewing the Data

• Pima County MapGuide Maps are our online mapping system where you can see many of our GIS data layers.

• GIS Library Data Layer Metadata describes all the data layers in our GIS library.

Acquiring the Data

1. You can acquire many of our GIS data layers using the Pima County GIS Data FTP Server. 252 of our GIS Library data layers are available for download in ESRI Shapefile format. See Pima County GIS Data FTP Server for available layers and instructions.

2. You can download the Pima County GIS Parcel Section Maps in AutoCAD DWG format. See Parcel Section Map Download for more.

3. Acquiring orthophotos and other imagery is handled differently. See Getting Orthophotos and Aerial Imagery for more.

4. If you are interested in acquiring our GIS data, please review commercial use definitions to determine which category your data use falls under, i.e. commercial or non-commercial. Note that access to GIS Library data layers not on our FTP server may be limited.

   • If you determine that your use falls into the non-commercial use category, then you can proceed to obtain a non-commercial account for our FTP server. See "Ordering a Username and Password" on our Pima County GIS Data FTP Server page.
