Using Autodesk MapGuide's reports feature, you can create reports on a data layer's selected objects. These reports are displayed in another browser window and can be printed and saved using browser options, typically File, Print... and File, Save As...
Comma delimited files are a common interchange format between software programs and can be imported into programs such as Access, Excel, Word, dBASE and others. Use the browser's File, Save As... menu options to save this report as .txt or .csv file, then use your software's import capability to load it.
You select one or more map features on one of the above data layers and then choose from one of the following reports.
All parcel reports include the owners' mailing addresses in various forms. The owner's mailing address is often different than the situs address which is the actual street address of the property, if any. For instance, the owner may live in another state or receive his mail at another address separate from the parcel. While situs addresses may look like mailing addresses and may be formatted as mailing addresses, keep in mind that not all situs addresses can receive mail. See About situs addresses for more. While you may want to mail to the situs address, usually you want to contact the owner and not the occupant. The mailing address is preferred in most cases.
This report displays a summary of each selected parcel in an HTML formatted page. Each parcel in the summary has parcel code, mailing address, situs (property) address, a link to a page of detailed tax information, and a "Zoom to parcel" link to the Main MapGuide Map.
The Parcel Area and Values Report shows one line for each selected parcel area and shows the parcel code, owner name, situs address, estimated area in acres and estimate area in square feet, full cash value and assessed value for land and improvements. Valuation and area totals for all selected parcel areas are also included.
This comma delimited report is one line per selected parcel and includes fields for the parcel code, owner mailing address, situs address, valuations, legal description, and other fields. Each field is separated with a comma. Additionally, the first line is a comma delimited list of field names which some software can use when importing the data. This report is a pure ASCII text report with no formatting and is often used for making mailing labels as well as many other purposes.
This report has five groups of fields in addition to the "parcel" field with the Assessor's parcel code:
parcel Nine digit Assessor's parcel code.
Owner mailing addresses are used to send mail to the owner, wherever they may live:
mail1 First line of mailing address mail2 Second line of mailing address or null mail3 Third line of mailing address or null mail4 Fourth line of mailing address or null mail5 Fifth line of mailing address or null zip9 9 or 5 digit ZIP code or 00000 if none
The number of owner mailing address lines varies: Long owner's names can span more than one line and there is no way to know for sure which line has the street address or post office box and which line has the city and state.
The situs address includes several fields:
street_no Street address number street_dir Street address direction (N,S,E,W) street_name Street name and type city Jurisdiction (which may differ from the Postal City)If the situs address fields are null or blank, then there is either no situs address associated with the parcel or there is more than one situs address for the parcel. When there is more than one situs address for a parcel, then the situs address fields are empty because there is no way to include multiple situs addresses and no rational way to pick one. If you are primarily interested in situs addresses, see the "Situs addresses" reports below.
The valuation fields are:
landfcv Land Full Cash Value landratio Land Percentage impfcv Improvements Full Cash Value impratio Improvements Percentage landassd Land Assessed Value impassd Improvements Assessed Value totfcv Total Full Cash Value totassd Total Assessed Value
The legal description fields are:
legal1 First line of legal description or null legal2 Second line of legal description or null legal3 Third line of legal description or null legal4 Fourth line of legal description or null legal5 Fifth line of legal description or null
The other fields are:
landclass Revised land use code impclass Improvement legislative class docket Recorder's docket for deed page Recorder's page for deed recorddate Recording date in YYYYMMDD format for deed trs Township, Range, Section, East-west direction in TTRRSSD format. lastchange Date of last change to Assessor's data in YYMMDD format. mp Map/Plat of recorded subdivision log Subdivision lot number block Subdivision block number curzone Current county zoning
This report is identical to "Owner adr, situs and values(comma delimited with header)" above except the report does not include the initial line of field names.
This report contains the parcel code and several lines of owner mailing address for each selected parcel. It's almost in a format suitable for mailing labels. One of the comma delimited reports is probably what you want instead. Use your browser's File, Save As... menu options to save the report as a .txt file and then open it with another program to make actual mailing labels. If you don't use a comma delimited report, one of the "one per page" reports below may work better for you than this report.
This report is the same as the one above except that it contains just the owner mailing addresses and no parcel codes. Use this report if you want mailing addresses without the parcel code.
This report contains the parcel code and several lines of owner mailing address for each selected parcel. There is an ASCII formfeed character between each address so each address is on a separate page. (You won't see the separate pages unless you save the addresses as .txt)
This report is the same as the one above except that it contains just the owner mailing addresses and no parcel codes. Use this report if you want mailing addresses without the parcel code and each address on a separate page.
While situs addresses may look like mailing addresses and may be formatted as mailing addresses, keep in mind that not all situs addresses can receive mail. See About situs addresses for more.
This comma delimited report has one line per situs address for selected parcels. It includes fields for the parcel code, the situs street address, jurisdiction, postal city, ZIP code, the source of the situs address, and the owner's mailing address. Each field is separated with a comma. Additionally, the first line is a comma delimited list of field names which some software can use when importing the data. This report is a pure ASCII text report with no formatting and is often used for making mailing labels as well as many other purposes.
Some parcels don't have a situs address. In these cases there is nothing is shown for the parcel in the situs report. (It's a report of situs addresses, not parcels and the parcel has no situs address.)
Some parcels have more than one situs address. In these cases, the parcel code and owner's mailing address is repeated on each situs address line for that parcel.
This report has three groups of fields in addition to the "parcel" field with the Assessor's parcel code:
parcel Nine digit Assessor's parcel code.
The situs address itself includes several fields:
street_no Street address number street_dir Street address direction (N,S,E,W) street_name Street name and type jurisdiction Jurisdiction (which may differ from the zipcity field. See About situs addresses) zipcity Postal city as determined by GIS overlay analysis zipcode 5 digit ZIP code as determined by GIS overlay analysis source Source of the situs address (PC DSD GIS, PC DSD PERMITS or BOTH)
Owner mailing addresses are used to send mail to the owner, wherever they may live:
mail1 First line of mailing address mail2 Second line of mailing address or null mail3 Third line of mailing address or null mail4 Fourth line of mailing address or null mail5 Fifth line of mailing address or null zip9 9 or 5 digit ZIP code or 00000 if none
While the owner mailing address is included with the situs address, it doesn't have much value in that context and should be used with caution. One possible use of the owner mailing address is to use the first line (mail1) as the owner's name with the situs address. However the owner's name may be long, spanning as many as three lines (mail1, mail2 and mail3) with no easy way to know how many lines make up the name or know which lines are the street address and city lines. Use the owner's mailing address fields in the situs reports at your own risk.
This report is identical to "Situs addresses (comma delimited with header)" above except the report does not include the initial line of field names.
This report contains the parcel code, a line with the situs street address, and a third line with the postal city, "AZ", and the ZIP code for each parcel address for selected parcels. The jurisdiction city is not included although it is often the same as the postal city. Some parcels have more than one situs address. In these cases, the parcel code is repeated on each situs entry for that parcel.
This report displays street names and lengths of selected street sections. The total length of all selected street segments is also displayed.
This report displays the finest granularity of street names, county maintenance status and lengths of selected street segments. Each segment in the report is linked to a detail report of all segment attributes. The total length of all selected street segments is also displayed as well as the total length for each county maintenance status. Each displayed segment includes a link to the segment detail page.
This is a comma delimited version of the "Street Names, Addresses and Lengths" report above. Totals are not included.
