Overview

These historical aerial photos include photos in from various years from approximately 1979 to 2002 in selected areas in eastern Pima County, Arivaca, Ajo and Why.

Download and install a MrSID image viewer plug-in or standalone application to view the photos that are in MrSID format.
If you want to make measurements of ground distances on the images, you may need either GeoExpress View or the MrSID GeoViewer which are no longer available. If you are using the MrSID GeoViewer and want to measure on these photos, choose Options, Scale Units, and select Feet. Then choose Options, Geo Reference and set Units to Feet and the Resolution to 0.833 feet per pixel prior to making measurements. These values are not saved and need to be re-entered each time you start the program.
Zoom in to your area of interest on the index map with the Grid-based Aerial Photo Index layer. Then...
1. Click on a section to display the section's "map tip" in the upper left.
2. Click the map tip's "MrSID Photo" link to display available photos in that section..

Select a section directly by choosing township, range and section numbers

Select a section by entering township, range and section numbers. The default values below show an area in eastern Pima County along I-10. Sections without photos or outside photo grids return "Not Found."
