• If you get an error message, then it's likely your PC is not set up or configured to play WAV format sound files. (The error message pop-up makes a sound of its own that is not the WAV sound we are trying to hear in this test.)

• If you don't hear the sound and you don't get an error message, then your PC appears to be playing the sound but you don't hear it for some reason. The volume may be turned down, sound may be muted, or there may be some other cause. Verify that your PC can play other sounds and then run this test again.
