CPC View TIFF Problem and Solution With Microsoft Office 2003
When using CPC View with Microsoft Office 2003,
Office may "grab" the .tif and/or .tiff file extension, preventing CPC View from displaying the TIFF image.
If this happens:
- Open the image at http://www.cartesianinc.com/Demo/CPCStreams/Gilman2.cpi
in your web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer).
This causes CPC View ax to be loaded.
-
Click the right mouse button anywhere within the CPC View image window.
This causes the CPC View right-click menu to appear.
-
Select the "View" sub-menu of the right-click menu, then "Preferences...".
This causes the "Preferences" window to appear.
-
Check the box titled "Check file registrations at startup" at the
top of the "Preferences" window.
This causes the viewer to check the file registrations each time it starts.
-
Click the left mouse button anywhere outside the "Preferences" window to make the "Preferences" window disappear.
-
Hit the "Reload" or "Refresh" button on your web browser.
This causes CPC View to be reloaded, at which point it will check and
prompt you for registration of the missing file types.
Answer "YES" to the prompt.
