Abstract		Resource Conservation Areas (RCA) are lands set aside for conservation purposes, contributing to mitigation credits. This layer also contains the CLS classifications for each polygon, and acres have been calculated using the area proportion method since actual conserved acres are different than polygon acres.
Known errors/qualifications		This data layer created for the purpose of reporting conserved acres to the County Manager's office, which always asks for acres by CLS Class. Previously the RCA's were stored within the preserve layer, but calculating conserved acres using preserve layer was inefficient since the polygons were not true in size. Original cover contained islands, however the shapefile does not.
