Abstract		VEGCOMPM displays a vegetation composite for the Town of Marana. Vegetation is classified by the Brown, Lowe and Pase System at the series level. This layer is an updated version of the more geographically extensive veg_comp library layer, but also includes an additional value in the SERIES field defining developed areas. Veg_comp is sometimes referred to as landcover. See more information.
Known errors/qualifications		Corrected vegetation layer derived from pima_veg_town_2004.shp. Corrections made by Town of Marana. The pima_veg_town_2004 shapefile had multiple topological errors, plus, the development features needed to be updated. This new layer contains all of the developed areas in town, plus a new class--golf courses. Note that in the case of developed areas, some sections still have natural desert vegetation. The total parcel is considered developed, however.
