Abstract | The features in this layer represent locations of illegal dump sites and woodcutting (categorized as "property damage") on NR-managed properties, as well as a description of the dumped materials and the size of the dump site.
Known errors/qualifications | This layer represents an ongoing effort to catalog observed dump sites or property damage (includes woodcutting). Thus, it is a small portion of what likely exists on the ranches, mountain parks, and open space properties. The size category of dump sites was established based on the experience of the infrastructure inventory field personnel: Extra small - takes up less space than a pick-up truck bed; Small - as much as a pick-up truck bed full; Medium - up to a 5 yard trailer or dump truck; Large - enough to need a 40 yard roll-off.
